On July 30th, 2007, we lost our dear wife, mother, sister, friend, and respected business partner, Nancy Williams to Pancreatic cancer. She is deeply missed by all, but she lives on in our hearts and through her songs, inspirational stories, and amazing spirit.
The Nancy Williams Memorial Foundation has been created by Nancy’s family and friends to carry on her legacy of generosity and support. Our goal is to help those in need by raising money to support the research of pancreatic cancer as well as to be a guiding beacon of hope and support for those who are affected by pancreatic cancer.
Nancy Williams was born in Canton, Massachusetts and moved to Scituate, Massachusetts during high school. She graduated from Scituate High School in 1966 and went on to receive her higher education from Marquette University and Emmanuel College. She later returned to Lesley University to receive her Master’s Degree in Business Management.
Nancy went on to have a successful career in business management working for Putnam Investments and for MIS, now known as Broadridge Financial Solutions in Hingham, Massachusetts. At the time of her diagnosis she was the General Manager of the Hingham office. She was known for her unique management style that put teamwork above individuals but at the same time allowed for individual recognition for all employees.
Being a successful business woman in no way impacted her ability to be a wonderful and inspirational mother to her children and wife to her husband. Through her actions as a person and in the professional world she taught her children the importance of integrity, hard work, faith and family.
Nancy, along with having a successful career and family also made time in her life for her own personal enjoyments. She enjoyed golf with her many friends at Scituate Country Club and Widow’s Walk. She was an accomplished musician and not only sang as a Cantor at St. Mary’s of the Nativity in Scituate but also filled her home with her music on both the organ and the guitar.
Nancy is remembered by all that have met her by her generosity and faith. She was the first one to reach out to those in need and the last one to give up on others.
